Summary:

The Israel Innovation Authority together with Japanese research institute – ATR (Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International) who are leading the creation of an ecosystem in Keihanna Science City, invite Israeli companies to apply for Keihanna Global Acceleration Program Plus Batch 9.

KGAP+ is a startup support program for promising startups from Japan and abroad. Startups pursue collaboration with large Japanese enterprises as well as overseas expansion.

Program Description

KGAP+ is a startup support program for promising startups from Japan and abroad. Startups pursue collaboration with large Japanese enterprises as well as overseas expansion.
So far, more than 100 startups from 11 countries have participated in the Batch 1 to 8, and 80% of the startups have been able to implement PoC or enter into collaborative discussions with the program’s support.

This initiative will offer selected Israeli companies a one-of-a-kind opportunity to participate in a webinar and to present their technology to leading companies and entities from Japan as well as global partners. Winners of this webinar will be able to participate in the Keihanna Global Acceleration Program Plus Batch 9

Participation in Keihanna Global Acceleration Program Plus (KGAP+) Batch 9, will allow selected companies from around the globe to conduct pilots/POC in Japan, with Japanese partners.

Funding

Participation in this program will provide:

  • Hands-on support to startups in friendly city in Kyoto, Japan.
  • Securing partners for PoC or pilot tests.
  • Expand business in the Japanese market according to their needs.

Criteria

Preconditions:

  • Participation is open to companies of all technological sectors, who are currently in the stage of Pilot/PoC
  • Applicants must be R&D performing, Israeli registered, companies operating in Israel

Criteria:

  • Participation is open to companies of all technological sectors, who are currently in the stage of Pilot/PoC
  • ATR will review all the application and will choose 8-10 companies to participate in the next stage – the Pitch event. Selection criteria will be relevance to the specific needs of ATR and their partners
  • We will inform you regarding your application results within 2-4 weeks
