Zachi Schnarch is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Innovation Authority. In this capacity he is responsible for a range of activities having to do with assessing the requests submitted to the Authority; this process is performed through the management of 180 professional auditors, who review the different requests. In addition, he is responsible for formulating the policy on the government’s activities concerning Israeli companies engaged in R&D.
Schnarch has over 25 years’ experience in leading R&D projects, while specializing in applicative research and its implementation in the fields of security and hi-tech (both industry and academia). In the span of these years, he has served in various positions, which contributed to the establishment and development of the technological infrastructure of the state of Israel.
In his last position prior to joining the Innovation Authority, Schnarch served as the CEO of a hi-tech company named LMY, involved in the field of software and algorithms. Over the years he has also led collaborations with a variety of research organizations and institutes in Europe, the USA and the Far East.
Schnarch holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and an MBA from the Tel Aviv University.
